In the earlier days of SEO, sending out press releases with keyword optimized anchor texts would get you a dozens of backlinks. In some fortunate cases, this would even make your site crawl to the top positions on SERPs. So, eventually Press releases became a tactic to build links and rank high. Not all SEO efforts are obvious to the outside eye. We’ve all experienced the frustration of a slow-loading site. And there’s plenty of evidence showing slow-loading sites perform less well. SEO helps businesses by allowing them to attract more customers to their website and if it's done right – attract them in a way that they also become customers. More focus is put on inbound links
In the early days of the Internet, people participated in traffic exchange programs. You joined a network of websites that opened pop-under windows that contained a link to your website. Your website would get thousands of visitors within a few days. The best practice for
internal linking is to think primarily about the user experience. Organically link to assets in a way that streamlines the buyer’s journey. Many new marketing specialists tend to buy a few followers in order to give their social media a great kick-start. By regularly auditing your – or your client’s – sites, you can get a good feel for what you still need to do to improve SEO.
Is this the end of keyword stuffing as we know it?
Keywords are “stuffed,” wherever possible: Meta title: In keyword stuffing, the keyword is sometimes repeated several times in the page title. Take a look at sites like the BBC and you ’ll see that they have huge and highly diverse links profiles. They’ll have links from massive sites but also tiny, spam sites.
